Easy Dhal
Ingredients
1. Tur Dhal - 1 CUP (small)
2. Carrots - sliced 1/2 cup
3. Beans - sliced 1/2 cup
4. Cauliflower - 1/2 cup chopped
5. Tomato - 2 medium sized, chopped
6. Celantro (coriander leaves) - a small bunch chopped
7. Green Chilly - 1 chopped
8. Turmeric powder - a little - as required
9. Salt to taste
10. Ghee or Oil - 3 tbsp
11. Jeera - 2 spoons
12. Dhania powder - 1& half spoon
13. Red Chilly powder - as required
14. Curry leaves - a small bunch ,chopped
15. Asafoetida powder - a little
Method:
- Wash the dhal & the vegetables.
- Add required amount of water and pressure cook all the ingredients from
..1 to 9 & let it cool.
- In a pan heat oil or ghee, add jeera and once its cooked add the asafoetida powder, dhania powder, red chilly powder and finally add the curry leaves.
- Add the cooked dhal/veggies to this pan and cook it until you get a boil &
remove from fire.
- Garnish this with fresh celantro & curry leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti & pickles.
