I am from Mrs.Natarajan, Mumbai. This poha vadai is very quick to make, doesn't need any grinding and remains very crisp for a long time.

Poha Vadai

Ingredients

One cup Puffed Rice (jada poha)
2 tablespoon Gramflour (besan)
3-4 Green Chillies
1 pinch Asafoetida
2 tbsp Coriander leaves
A piece of Ginger
Salt according to taste.
200 gms Oil to fry.

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the poha and drain all the water. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  2. In the meantime cut green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves finely and mix with the poha. Add salt and asafoetida powder and besan. Mix well with light hands.
  3. Deep fry in oil till golden brown as small vadas. Can be eaten with any chutney or sauce.
