I am Vidhya. I have been regularly surfing the net and I find all the recipes in Bawarchi quite unique and I have tried most of the recipes it is really very good. This recipe about chillies is very unique and it is excellent with a totally different khatta mita taste do try this and please let me know your response my email id is vidhyavinaykumar@hotamail.com. Stufffed Green Chilli Bhajji

Ingredients

Green chillies the light green variety generaly used for making Bhajjis

Green chillies 1/4 Kg
Oil to fry the bhajji

For Filling:

Groundnuts 150 gms Lime 2 Sugar 2 tsp Salt to taste

For the Batter:

Besan 150 gms Salt to taste Water to make the batter as required for bhajji

Method:

  1. Take the Green chillies slit in the middle lengthwise and leaving the top and the end intact take out the seeds from the chillies with a spoon and wash it throughly.
  2. In a kadai dry roast ground nuts till it becomes crisp and the skin peels off. Powder this and to this add lime sugar and salt. Fill this into the green chillies tightly.
  3. Make a batter with besan, salt and water and mix together.
  4. Keep oil in the kadai to become hot. Dip this stuffed green chilli in the batter like any other bhajji and dip it in hot oil. Let this get cooked and take it out when it is golden and crisp.
  5. Serve hot and with no side dish.
