Ingredients
Soak the following overnight
1/4 cup Matki
1/4 cup Chavli
1/4 cup Whole Moong
1/4 cup Kabuli Channa
1/4 cup Green Channa
1/4 cup Black Channa
Make a paste of the following
Coconut 1/4 cup
Green Chillies 7-8
Coriander 1/2 bunch
Jeera 1 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic 4-5 cloves
Tamarind about the size of half lemon
For Tadka
Rai 1 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Curry Patta 8 - 10
Onion 2 finely cut
Method:
- Pressure cook the soaked items till they are cooked but a little firm too.
- Give tadka of the above ingredients and fry the onions then add the ground
masala paste transfer this to the pressure cooked channas and let it cook with the masala for about 20 minutes or so.
- Sanjus yummy usal is ready. Can be served with rice, bread, chappatis etc.
