This is Rajyalakshmi Philkana. This time I have for you a very 91easy to make92 traditional sweet made of Sooji. So - people with a sweet tooth - forget about calories for a while!

Ravva Laddu (Sweet Sooji balls)

Ingredients

1. Fine Sooji 1/2 kilo
2. Sugar 1/2 kilo
3. Dry/fresh grated coconut 1 cup
4. Cashew nut 1/2 cup
5. Ghee 1 cup (200 gms)
6. Kishmish 1/2 cup
7. Elaichi powder 1 tbsp
8. Warm milk BC cup

Method of preparation

  1. Pour ghee in a kadhai.
  2. Fry cashew and Kishmish - fry till golden brown and keep aside.
  3. Fry sooji in the remaining ghee.
  4. After the sooji is fried - add the grated coconut also and fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Grind sugar and the fried cashew into a smooth powder.
  6. Mix the Sooji - sugar- cashew powder - elaichi powder - kishmish and the warm milk.
  7. Make the mixture into balls.
