Chatpati Channa Chaat

Ingredients

a. Channa- 1 cup
b. Chopped Cucumber-1/2 cup
c. Chopped Tomatoes-1/2 cup
d. Chopped Spring Onion -1/2 cup
e. Cabbage(Shreded)-1/2 cup (optional)
f. Chat Masala-2 teaspoon
g. Lemon Juice 2 teaspoon
h. Capsicum -1/2 cup (optional)
i. Salad Oil or Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon (Can be made without oil also).
j. Green Chillies - 2 finely chopped
k. Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak Channa overnight, then tie them in a soft cotton cloth for 9 to 10 hrs. Keep it at a warm place.
  2. Pressurecook the Channa till done. (Approx 5 to 6 Whistles)
  3. Then place all the chopped veg (cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion, cabbage,capsicum) together.
  4. Drain out the water from chana.
  5. Mix all the ingredients i.e. channa, chopped vegatables, chat masala,lemon,oil & salt.
  6. Refrigerate the salad for about an hour to enjoy the mouth watering recipe to the fullest.
