I am Sharada.H.Iyer. from India (Mumbai). I would like to share this recipe. Hope you enjoye it. This recipe is made from left over rice which is a good way not to waste rice but use it in another purpose.

Cooked Rice Bajiya

Ingredients

1 cup Gram Dal (besan)
1 cup Cooker Rice
2 Onions finely chopped
1 tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
Oil for frying

For Paste:

4 to 5 Garlic cloves
4 to 5 piece of Ginger
4 to 5 Green Chillies
2 tsp Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Make a smooth paste of the cooked rice along with ginger, garlic, chillies,cumin seeds turmeric. Mix the paste with gram flour, onion and coriander leaves. Make small balls .
  2. Heat the oil in low flame and deep fry till the bajiya's are brown in colour. Remove it and strain the excess oil.
  3. Serve it hot with coriander or pudina chutney /tomato sauce.
  4. Garnish with sliced onions.

Cooking Time: 30 to 40 min.
