I am Neelam from SanJose, California. A few months back, I belonged to the category of people who feel "cooking is not my cup of coffee". But now that I make regular visits to bawarchi.com, I dare to try my own dishes. Here is one which I tried, and would like to share with all you bawarchi fans out there.

Poha Vada
Ingredients
1/2 cup Poha (thick)
1 Potato
1 Medium sized Onion (chopped)
3-4 Green Chillies (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Cilantro (chopped)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Salt (As per taste)
Oil (For deep frying)
Method:
- Wash the poha, drain the water and leave it aside.
- Boil the potato and mash it.
- Add the mashed potato, chopped onion, green chillies and cilantro to the poha. Add salt and cumin seeds to the above mix. Mix well all the ingredients.
- Make balls out of the mix and flatten.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them till golden brown.
Hmmm...tasty poha vadas are ready to eat. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
