Peanut Burfi (Chiki)

Ingredients

Roasted peanut : 2 cups
Sugar : 1 cup
Vanilla Essence : 2 drops
Ghee or butter : 1/4 teaspoon

Method:

  1. Peel peanuts, and break in to two halves.
  2. Grease the kitchen marble top with ghee or butter.
  3. Keep a pan on fire and drop the sugar.
  4. Keep stirring, till the sugar melts and the syrup is brown in colour.
  5. Add the vanilla essence.
  6. Put out the fire and add the peanut in to the syrup and mix well.
  7. Place the mixture on the greased marble and spread evenly.
  8. Allow it to cool and set for 2 minutes and cut in to slices.
  9. Store in air tight container.
