Peanut Burfi (Chiki)
Ingredients
Roasted peanut : 2 cups
Sugar : 1 cup
Vanilla Essence : 2 drops
Ghee or butter : 1/4 teaspoon
Method:
- Peel peanuts, and break in to two halves.
- Grease the kitchen marble top with ghee or butter.
- Keep a pan on fire and drop the sugar.
- Keep stirring, till the sugar melts and the syrup is brown in colour.
- Add the vanilla essence.
- Put out the fire and add the peanut in to the
syrup and mix well.
- Place the mixture on the greased marble and spread
evenly.
- Allow it to cool and set for 2 minutes and cut in to slices.
- Store in air tight container.
