Mushroom Masala

Ingredients

Mushrooms 200 gms
Onions 2
Tomatoes 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cinnamon 1 stick
Cardamom 5 to 6 nos
Cloves 3 to 4 nos
Garam Masala 1 tsp
Cashewnut paste 1/2 cup
Salt

Method:

  1. Clean and cut the mushrooms into medium pieces
  2. Peel and chop Onions .Sauti the tomatoes with onion in oil ..Grind this into a smooth paste.
  3. Saute the cloves,cardamoms and cinnamon stick in oil and then add the ginger garlic paste and the ground tomato paste. Cook for 1 min
  4. Add Red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt & cook till the oil leaves the masala.
  5. Add 1 cup of water, bring it to a boil & then add the mushrooms.
  6. Lastly add the cashewnut paste dissolved in 1 cup of water and stir well.
  7. Cook on a high flame for seven to eight minutes or till the mushrooms are fully cooked.
  8. Garnish with CILANTRO or Coriander leaves and Kasuri methi.
  9. Serve hot with Chappathis or Parathas
