Hi,
I am very much interested in Indian Cooking. I tried this recipe when I got tired of the usual South Indian food, turned out to be very good.

Mint Pulav

Ingredients

1 bowl full of mint leaves
1 medium sized onion.
5 cloves of garlic
5 green chilies
small piece of ginger
1/2 tsp of jeera
Cardomom(whole) and Cloves for flavor
2 tsps of ghee
1 tsp of coriander powder
2 cups of basmati rice
salt to taste

Method:

  • Fry cardomom, cloves, jeera, onion and green chilies in ghee till onion turns golden brown.
  • Grind garlic, mint, ginger, coriander powder smoothly.
  • Add this mix to the tawa and let it cook till the ghee separates
  • Add the mix and salt to the rice and cook in a electric cooker.
  • Serve hot with any raita.
    (You can add vegetables like carrot, peas, beans) Servings: 4
    Cooking time: 1/2 an hr
