Hi, I'm Krisha living in New York. I keep visiting this website. It's simply Great to find all recipes at one place. Today I want to share my favourite. recipe of paav-bhaji which I learned by hit & trial method, I hope you all will like it. It so easy and can be prepared in half hr. Enjoy!!

Pav Bhaaji

Ingredients

Bhaaji:
1 pack Bird's eye mixed vegetables (wash in running hot water or microwave to defrost)
1 big potato (peeled and cut in small pieces)
1 small can of tomato puree
1 big chopped onion
2-3 tsp MDH Paav-Bhaji Masala
1/2 sp. Turmeric Powder
oil or butter to fry
salt acc. to taste

Paav:
Italian Bread
Butter
oregano leaves
Crushed hot pepper

Method:

Bhaji:

  1. Take the Mixed vegetables, potatoes, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker add water enough as to soak everything.
  2. Wait for 5-6 whistles on med-high gas
  3. On the side take some butter in pan and add copped onions and fry them golden.
  4. Add tomato puree to it and then add paav-bhaji masala. cook for about 5 min.
  5. Drain the boiled vegetables and mash them with potato masher in cooker itself.
  6. Add these boiled-mashed vegetables to puree. cook for another 10 min. with constant mixing.
  7. Add some butter and bhaji is ready.

Paav:
Slice the Italian bread in half and heat it up in oven for a min. so that it's hot from inner side then spread butter on it and heat it in oven till it's brown and then sprinkle some oregano leaves and crushed hot pepper (as you would usually do while eating pizza) and serve hot with Bhaaji.
