Wheat-Juwar Vada
Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 cup of juwar flour
1 tbsp methi (fenugreek seeds)
1/2 cup curd
1/2 tbsp green chilli - ginger paste
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
salt according to taste
Method :
- Heat Methi dry on tawa on low flame until it's lightly browned.
- Let is cool. Then crush it with either rolling pin ( belan ) or with mixie.
- Mix everything including the methi. Add water to make it thick batter.
- Consistency of the batter should not be very hard, but it should not be as
watery as Dosa batter too. Somewhere in between.
- Let it ferment overnight.
- Deep fry in oil on medium heat; by putting small dips of the batter.
