Wheat-Juwar Vada

Ingredients

2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 cup of juwar flour
1 tbsp methi (fenugreek seeds)
1/2 cup curd
1/2 tbsp green chilli - ginger paste
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
salt according to taste

Method :

  1. Heat Methi dry on tawa on low flame until it's lightly browned.
  2. Let is cool. Then crush it with either rolling pin ( belan ) or with mixie.
  3. Mix everything including the methi. Add water to make it thick batter.
  4. Consistency of the batter should not be very hard, but it should not be as watery as Dosa batter too. Somewhere in between.
  5. Let it ferment overnight.
  6. Deep fry in oil on medium heat; by putting small dips of the batter.
