My name is Sangeetha (Married Happily and living in a lovely home in San Diego ). Last year when I visited India there was a function at my Parents place and they had catered food . One of the dish the caterers served was Fruity Tomato Pachadi . It was sooo Yum Yum , that I ate just that . And my mom asked one of the cooks to explain the recipe for me and he Did! I thought I would share this simple but elegant sweet dish with all you folks who visit this simple and elegant web site!

Fruity Tomato Pachadi

Ingredients

4 large ripe tomatoes
1 cup sugar(according to your taste)
1 Table spoon Honey
2 cloves cardamom
1/2 t spoon rose essence
1 - 2 cups mixed fruits and nuts (Banana, Tangerines, Grapes, Strawberries, Raisins, Almonds )

Method

  1. Take water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil .
  2. Add tomatoes and cook till the skin peals off , this indicates that its totally cooked . Throw it in a blender and make a puree.
  3. Pour it back in the sauce pan and add Sugar, Honey, Cardamom and Raisins.
  4. Once it kind of thickens (Just boil until the sugar becomes a syrup) add Rose essence.
  5. Cool it down and add your favorite fruits and nuts.

That's it you are done.
