Nankathai
Ingredients
1. Melted Dalda ....1 and 1/2 cup
2. Powdered Sugar ..1 cup
3. All Purpose Flour (Maida)..3 cups
4. Soda Bi Carb .....1 level tea spoon
5.Fresh Lemon Juice ..1 tea spoon
6.Vanilla Essence for taste
Method: Steps:
- Mix well Melted Dalda and powdered Sugar to light
buttery consistency.
- Add Maida and mix well and leave overnight 6-8 hrs,
- Knead well to light consistency and mix SodaBi Carb
and Lemon Juice together to the Dough.
- Add and mix Essence for taste.
- Knead well and make round balls.
- Put them in greased tray and bake in the Oven for
15mins. at Temperature of 400degree F.
- These Cookies "Naankhatai " will puff out and ready
to be removed and served hot or cold, with Tea or
Coffee.
Note: You can add Nuts or shredded dry coconut powder
to dough according to your Taste.
