Quick Daal
Ingredients
2 tbps of tur dal
2 tbsps of udad dal
2 tbps of moong dal
2 tbsps of udad dal
2 pieces of garlic
1 tsp of cumin seeds (jeera)
a few curry leaves
salt for taste
1/4 tsp turmeric
1" ginger piece, cut into small pieces
1 green chilli, slit into two
2 tsps ghee
chopped coriander leaves
juice of one lemon
Method
- Pressure cook all the daal together. Remove and churn it using buttermilk churner.
- In a hard bottomed pan, pour ghee, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and chilli pieces.
- Add the cooked daal, salt and turmeric. Cook till the daal starts to boil. Add water if the consistency is too thick.
- Remove from flame and add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
