Hi All,
Kamala Janakiraman again. Hope you have enjoyed my previous recipe of 'Quickie Daal Dosai'. This time it is 'Capsicum Tomato Sauce'. All of us enjoyed it at home. Try it and have fun. Please send in your feedback to 'jgshankar@sify.com'

Capsicum Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

Capsicum - 1
Tomato - 3
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - one handful
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Oil for frying
Salt as required

Method

  1. Chop capsicum and tomato into medium sized cubes.
  2. Saute with 2 tsp oil.
  3. Add salt as required.
  4. Now grind to a smooth paste with a little water.
  5. Add oil (2 tsps) in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  6. Pour the vegetable mixture into the pan
  7. Add chilli powder
  8. Cook till the mixture becomes a little thick (for approx 3-4 minutes on medium flame).

Capsicum-Tomato Sauce is now ready. Serve Hot.

This can be used as a side dish for Idlis, Dosas, Rotis and Parathas.
