Va with my husband and am doing my master's. I have a different recipe
for dal which I learnt from my husband who made for me during my
exams. It was real good. It is easy and quick to do.

Moong Dal
Ingredients
Moong dal : 2 cups
Tomato : 2 medium
Onion : 1/2
Garlic : 6-8 flakes
Curry leaves : 2 stalks
Green chilies : 4
Red chilies : 3
Turmeric : a pinch
oil and Jeera
Method :
- Wash the moong dal, cut the green chilies into small pieces, put
these together and boil them in a pressure cooker for one whistle.
- Heat the oil, put the cumin seeds and red chilies, let splutter,
then add the curry leaves and then the garlic flakes cut into
small pieces.
- Fry the garlic a little, until light brown or a nice
aroma is felt,.
- Then add the onions sliced and let it fry.
- Next
add the turmeric and then the tomatoes sliced.
- Once the tomatoes
are cooked add the dal and then the salt as per taste.
- Leave it on
a medium flame for 5 minutes, and the dal is ready.
