Hi!

I am Samta from Mumbai, India. Currently residing in Dubai, UAE. I am working with an Insurance Company here and miss my country and family a lot. I am sending this recipe called chawal ke pakode. Its simple and its my first contribution to this site.

Chawal ke pakode

Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice
1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves
4 to 5 strings of mint leaves
3 green chillies
a pinch of hing
1 cup of besan
1/2 cup of curds
salt to taste
oil for frying the pakodas

Method

  1. Mix rice and curds together and mix them well.
  2. Then add the hing and salt along with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves as well as chopped chillies
  3. Mix them well.
  4. Then add the besan and mix it well. add water only if required.
  5. Once the batter is made, add around 3 to 4 teaspoons of oil to it and mix well again.
  6. Heat oil in a karahi. add teaspoons ful of the batter in it and fry on low flame till pakoras are golden brown.
  7. Serve it hot with mint chutney.
