Paneer Irani
Ingredients
Paneer 300 gms(approx . made from 1.5 ltrs milk)
Tomatoes 150 gms
Onions 150 gms
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic 10 gms
Oil - few tablespoons
Kashmiri Chilli Powder 1 1/2 tsp (regular chilii powder can be used too)
Egg 1 (optional)
Cream 3 tablespoons
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Butter 2 tablespoons
Cinnamon 1 stick
Bayleaf 1
Method :
- Grind ginger, garlic, onions together.
- Heat oil add cinnamon, bayleaf.
- Then add finely chopped tomatoes, prepared paste & cook for sometime in medium flame.
- Add chilli powder & cook for while.
- Turn off heat to slow cooking.
- Add little water to make a gravy & add paneer pieces & simmer for a while.
- Add beaten egg, mix slowly.
- Then add butter & lightly simmer.
- Finally add cream & remove from fire.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
This gravy goes well with rotis or even plain basmati rice.
