Hi all
Its me again Parul JainShukla from saint louis Missouri. I am quite a regular visitor and contributor to bawarchi and here again I am writing another very tasty and healthy recipe which is called Healthy Koftas. As I have always mentioned whole attribute to my cooking goes to my mom who herself is a great cook and to my dad and my husband who relish all my recipes. So here is Healthy koftas.

Healthy Koftas

Ingredients

1. A cup ful of kaddu kas vegetable which may include cabbage, boiled peas, carrots, spinach, onions, coriander.
2. Besan - abt a about
3. Salt
4. All the masala (red chilli, dhaniya , turmeric, etc)
5. Garam masala
6. 2 big red tomatoes
7. Water to steam
8. 1 teaspoon oil.

Method

  1. After grating all the veggies mix them with besan, salt, chilli powder, dhaniya powder and make a soft dough.
  2. Make small rounds of that dough.
  3. Put them in any container in which you can steam the Koftas.
  4. As the koftas are being steamed you can make tomato gravy.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add zeera and then after it starts crackling add tomatoes and all the masala and let the gravy cook.
  7. Put water and let it come to a boil.
  8. If need is there gravy can be thickened after putting a bit of corn flour dissolved in water.
  9. After your gravy is ready and the koftas are steamed put the dumplings or koftas in the gravy and give it one boil.
  10. Put garam masala and garnish it with chopped coriander and serve hot with rice or roti.
