Doodh ka Salan

Ingredients

Milk 1/2 litre
Onion 1 medium
Ghee/oil 2-3tbs
red chillie powder 2tsb, more if desired
salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry chopped onion till golden brown.
  2. Add chillie powder and cook over low heat for a while taking care not to burn it.
  3. Then add milk and salt and cook for a further 5-6 minutes.

Serve with roti.

Traditionally small pieces of roti are mixed with the salan in a bowl and served.
