Chili Bread
Ingredients (serves four)
Bread loaves - 1 dozen.
Corn flour - 1 tbsp.
All purpose flour - 1 tbsp.
Crushed Garlic/Ginger - 1 tbsp.
Tandoori masala - 1/2 Sp.
Coriander - a small bunch.
Ghee - 2 Sp.
Onion - 2 Nos.
Tomatoes - 3 Nos.
Lemon - 1 (optional)
Salt/chilli powder/sugar to taste.
Procedure:
- Cut the bread slices into 2x2 inch cubes.
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee.Don't overheat.
- Fry the bread in it for just a couple of minutes on medium flame.Sprinkle a little of salt.
- Remove the bread from the pan & heat the remaining ghee.
- Fry the onions & tomatoes that are cut into small pieces.
- Now mix the flours,crushed ginger/garlic in a small quantity of water.
- Add this mixture to the pan.
- Let this sauce boil for 5 minutes.Add the tandoori masala.Add some more ghee if required.
- Add salt,chilli powder,red color & a little of sugar.
- Now add the bread into this mixture & stir the mixture well on a medium flame.
- When the mixture starts getting drier,it means the dish is done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves & slices of lime.
- Serve hot.
