My name is Sudha Jayaraman & I currently reside in the sunshine state of Florida,US. Presently,I am a housewife taking care of my wonderful baby,Roshu. Cooking is my hobby & I present below one of the best items I ever tried. Ideal for a party snack.

Chili Bread

Ingredients (serves four)
Bread loaves - 1 dozen.
Corn flour - 1 tbsp.
All purpose flour - 1 tbsp.
Crushed Garlic/Ginger - 1 tbsp.
Tandoori masala - 1/2 Sp.
Coriander - a small bunch.
Ghee - 2 Sp.
Onion - 2 Nos.
Tomatoes - 3 Nos.
Lemon - 1 (optional)
Salt/chilli powder/sugar to taste.

Procedure:

  1. Cut the bread slices into 2x2 inch cubes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee.Don't overheat.
  3. Fry the bread in it for just a couple of minutes on medium flame.Sprinkle a little of salt.
  4. Remove the bread from the pan & heat the remaining ghee.
  5. Fry the onions & tomatoes that are cut into small pieces.
  6. Now mix the flours,crushed ginger/garlic in a small quantity of water.
  7. Add this mixture to the pan.
  8. Let this sauce boil for 5 minutes.Add the tandoori masala.Add some more ghee if required.
  9. Add salt,chilli powder,red color & a little of sugar.
  10. Now add the bread into this mixture & stir the mixture well on a medium flame.
  11. When the mixture starts getting drier,it means the dish is done.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves & slices of lime.
  13. Serve hot.
