Hello all... this is Noopur here! These days I seem to have some time.. so here's another very simple and tasty recipe to accompany your lunch / dinner. Its a Carrot salad made a lil differently.

Carrot Salad

Ingredients

4-6 medium sized carrots... red / orange ones
6-8 flakes of garlic
3 green chillies finely chopped.
a bunch of coriander leaves finely chopped.
juice of half a lemon.. or as per taste.
a pinch of sugar
salt to taste.
a pinch of mustard seeds.
a pinch of asoeftida
a pinch of turmeric
1 tsp. oil

Method:

  1. Wash the carrots and then grate them.
  2. Chop the chillies, coriander and the garlic flakes finely.
  3. take a bowl and add the grated carrot, garlic, chillies, coriander, sugar and salt as per taste. Mix well.
  4. In a kadai take a tsp. of oil and heat it. Add the mustard seeds.
  5. After the mustard seeds have crackled away, shut of the burner. Add the pinch of asoftida and then turmeric.
  6. Add this to the bowl and mix well. to this add the lemon juice.

This salad is very tangy to taste and it is sure to be a hit...!!
