Carrot Salad
Ingredients
4-6 medium sized carrots... red / orange ones
6-8 flakes of garlic
3 green chillies finely chopped.
a bunch of coriander leaves finely chopped.
juice of half a lemon.. or as per taste.
a pinch of sugar
salt to taste.
a pinch of mustard seeds.
a pinch of asoeftida
a pinch of turmeric
1 tsp. oil
Method:
- Wash the carrots and then grate them.
- Chop the chillies, coriander and the garlic flakes finely.
- take a bowl and add the grated carrot, garlic, chillies,
coriander, sugar and salt as per taste. Mix well.
- In a kadai take a tsp. of oil and heat it. Add the mustard
seeds.
- After the mustard seeds have crackled away, shut of the burner.
Add the pinch of asoftida and then turmeric.
- Add this to the bowl and mix well. to this add the lemon
juice.
This salad is very tangy to taste and it is sure to be a
hit...!!
