Whole masoor Daal
Ingredients
1 cup whole masoor daal.
1tbsp ginger garlic paste.
1 tomatoes.
1tsp red chille powder.
1tbsp coriander powder.
1tsp zeera powder.
1/2 tsp haldi.
a few curry leaves.
1/2 a cup tamarind soaked in water
coriander leaves for garnish.
salt.
For baghaar...
1 tsp mustard seeds.
1 tsp whole zeera.
a few curry leaves.
2 cloves garlic flakes.
oil.
Method
- Wash daal and put all ingredients except tamarind and pressure cook.
- When done remove from cooker and put daal in a cooking vessel, mash a little, then add tamarind juice,and cook for 10 minutes.
- In a frying pan heat oil and add all the baghaar ingredients and when it begins to splutter add baghaar to the daal.
- Close gas and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with boiled rice or riots
