Hi friends, this is Vidya again and I am sending you the recipe for a macaroni dish which I liked very much. Some people don't like the white sauce macaroni dishes, some of them don't like all vegetables put in pasta dishes, so try this which is different and give me your comments.

Macaroni and kidney beans

Ingredients

Macaroni (coloured spiral macaroni) - 1 cup
Rajma beans (soaked overnight) - 1/4 cup
Onions - 1 chopped fine
Spring onions - 3-4
Ginger chopped fine - 1 tsp
Garlic chopped fine - 1 tsp
Butter - 3 tbsps
Tomato puree - 3/4 cup
Salt - to taste
Hot thai sauce - 2 tbsps
Hot chilli sauce - 2 tbsps
Danish mozzarella cheese - 2 cups

Method :

  1. Cook the macaroni with salt in the cooker with 2 whistles.
  2. After it is cooked, show it under running cold water and keep aside.
  3. Cook the rajma and keep it separately aside.
  4. Cut spring onions and the leaves separately.
  5. In a pan add butter and saute the onions and the spring onions, add ginger and garlic and sauti for further 2 mins.
  6. Add the tomato puree and fry for a min.
  7. Add the thai sauce and the hot chilli sauce.
  8. You can alter the quantity of both the sauces according to your taste.
  9. Add salt and sauti for a minute more.
  10. Add the cooked rajma and the spring onion leaves and mix well.
  11. Lastly add the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  12. In a baking dish add one layer of the macaroni, put 1/2 of the grated cheese over it, put the second layer of the macaroni and put the remaining cheese over it and bake for 25 mins in a pre-heated oven of 200 degrees.
