Patholi
Ingredients
Chana Dal 1 cup
Moong Dal 1 cup
Arhar Dal 1/2 cup
Onions 2-3
Red chillies 2
Asafoetida A pinch
Curry Leaves
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder Pinch
Salt
Oil
Procedure:
- Soak dals for 2-3 hours.
- Grind them coarsely. Add salt & a pinch of turmeric.
- Meanwhile cut onions into small pieces.
- Put a kadhai on stove add 5tsp of oil and add asafoetida.
- Add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add urad dal, red chillies & curry leaves.
- Add onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add the ground dal paste.
- Keep in medium flame & stir occasionally.
- Add oil if needed.
- Fry till light brown.
- Goes well with rice.
