Masala Mushroom

Ingredients

Mushroom 1/2 kg
Potato (small) 3 nos
Mustard seed 2tsp
Garlic 2 pods
Cumin seed 1/2 spoon
Poppy seed 1/2 spoon
Oil 3 tsp
Salt
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Tamarind 2-3
Curry leaves 4-5

Paste:
Make a fine paste of mustard seeds,garlic,cumin seeds and poppy seeds with enough water.

Process:

  1. Cut mushroom into quarters and soak it for 10 minutes in warm water with a little vinegar and salt.
  2. Cut potato into tiny pieces.
  3. Heat oil and fry the potato and mushroom for 2/3 minutes.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. Heat oil again .
  6. Put some onion seed,curry patta and hing
  7. Add the mustard paste
  8. Saute till the masala is done leaves oil
  9. Now put the mushroom and potato
  10. Fry some more time.
  11. Add half cup water with a bit tamarind.
  12. Cover it till its cooked.
  13. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with hot plain rice or rotis.
