Yellow Dal
Ingredients
Tur Dal - 1 cup
Moong dal - 3 tbsps
Tomatoes - 2 chopped fine
Sambhar powder - 11/2 - 2 tbsps
hing, salt - to taste
chilli powder - to taste
ghee- 2 tbsps
mustard seed - 1 tsp
jeera - 1 tsp
haldi powder - 1 tsp
coriander leaves - for garnish
Method :
- Cook both the dals with haldi powder and salt in the cooker.
- In a pan heat ghee, add mustard seed and jeera.
- After they splutter add hing, turmeric powder, chilli powder, sambhar powder and mix well for minute.
- Add tomatoes and fry well till tomatoes almost become a pulp.
- Add the cooked dals and salt and mix well.
- Add water and boil till you get the required consistency.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
