Green Rounds

Ingredients

Spinach washed, blanched and pureed : 1 cup.
Green peas boiled and pureed : 1 cup.
Gram Flour : 2 cups.
Whole wheat flour : 1 cup.
Ginger+ Garlic paste : 1 tblsp.
Green chilli paste : 1 tblsp.
Garam masala powder : 1 tsp.
Dry mango powder : 1 tsp.
Salt to taste.
Oil for frying.

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients except oil in a large bowl and knead a dough as for chapati, using water if needed.
  2. Make balls the size of large lemon and roll each ball to resemble a sausage.
  3. Grease a plate with oil and arrange the rolls side by side.
  4. Steam the rolls in pressure cooker for 20 minutes. Remove from cooker and cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Cut each roll with a sharp knife into 1/2" rounds. Fry them till light brown in hot oil.
  6. To serve, arrange on a bed of lettuce and serve with mint and coconut chutney.
