Rasam
Ingredients
1) mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
2) methi seeds - 1 teaspoon
3) cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
4)chana dal - 1 teaspoon
5)tomato(cut into small pieces) - 1
6) tamarind
7) coriander
8) dry chilli - 2 nos
9)rasam powder
10) turmeric
11)salt to taste
12) oil - 2 tablespoons or ghee
13) Jagerry - small piece
Procedure
Soak the tamarind in water.....take a kadai and put 2 tablespoons of oil....
put mustard seeds , methi seeds,cumin seeds,chana dal ,dry chilli and allow
them to splutter and turn light brown.....then add the tamarind water....add
turmeric, rasam powder ,salt and allow it to boil for 5 min.....then add
the cut tomatoes and keep it till it cooks.....then put a small piece of
jaggery.....
Garnish it with coriander .....
