Vegetable Patty
Ingredients
Peas, Brinjal, Capsicum, Cauliflower, Green Beans, Carrots, Potatoes - all cut into small pieces and pressure cooked with little salt. OR any left over sabji Onions 1 Medium cut into small pieces
Lima Bean or Rajma beans cooked- 1/2 cup cooked
Rice flour, besan and Maida 2 tbsps each
Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
Green Chilies - 3, finely chopped
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Jeera -1/2 tsp
Dhania powder and garam masala - 1 tsp each
Tomato puree - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste and little turmeric powder
Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
Method:
- Heat oil in a large pan and deep fry the onions add jeera turmeric powder and garam masala powder to it.
- Grind the vegetables and Limabeans or Rajma in a blender and make in into a paste.
- Add this mixture to the onion in the pan then add everything else but the flours.Cover on medium heat until the mixture becomes semisolid.
- Allow it to cool a bit and then add the flours little by little and keep stirring the mixture.
- After the mixture comes to the consistency of something like the chaptti flour heat a tava( a flat pancake pan).
- Make small balls of this and roll it flat. Cut it into desired shapes and roast it on the tava.
- Your patty is ready.Serve hot with sauce or ketchup.
