Hi I am Somya. I hope you liked my previous recipe watte koumbo here comes the second one for you this is a special sambhar. My husband's favourite.

Sambahar

Ingredients

tuvar dal 1 cup hing
asafotedia pinch
mustard seeds 1 tbs.
fenugreek seeds 1 tbs.
dry red chillie 2
sambhar powder 2 tbs.
tamarind water as per your taste
green chillies 4
vegetables onion , potato , white pumpkin , drumstick, carrot, capsicum taste good for sambar.

Method

  1. Boil dal with haldi.
  2. When the dal is half boiled put the vegetables (one or two combination of vegetables is enough should not put more vegetables)
  3. Put (2)green silted chillie along with vegetables.
  4. For frying add asafotedia, mustard seeds, dry red chillie , 2 green chille and fenugreek seeds one by one let it splutter.
  5. Add sambhar powder to it ( put off the gas completely when u put sambhar powder other wise it will burn)
  6. Quickly add tamarind water to it and pour it in the pre cooked dal vessel
  7. Boil it till the fragrance fill whole of your kitchen.and till your neigh bours come and ask " what special today"

Tip
To make a tasty sambhar never boil dal in cooker ( don't give vessels) boil it open in a big vessel." happy cooking."
