Fried Dal

Ingredients

1 Cup toor dal
5-6 Dried red chillies
1 Tbsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 Onion finely chopped
2-3 pieces of garlic finely chopped
4-5 Tbsp oil for frying
1 Cup of water
Hing- Asafoetida- pinch
4-5 Tbsp Tarmind water
1/2 Tsp mustard seed (for tarkha)
1/2 Tsp urad dal (for tarkha)

Method

  1. Add 3 tbsp of oil in the cooker . And heat it on a low flame.
  2. Now, add toor dal, dried red chillies, and coriander powder together.
  3. Make the toor dal light brown .
  4. Now , add water and allow it to in the cooker for 5- 15 mins.
  5. After cooling it put in the mixture and grind it and make it a fine paste.
  6. Heat oil in the pan and put it on the low flame , now add mustard seeds, urad dal , onion, garlic make it transparent.
  7. Now add the onion stuff, dal , hing, salt , and water and allow it to boil for 15 mins.
  8. Your fried dal is ready
