Masala Vada

Ingredients for Cooking

Moong dal        1/2 cup
Urad dal           1/2 cup
Chana dal         1 cup
Green chillies    10 nos.
Onion small      1 no.
Pudina              1/2 bunch
Corriander         1/2 bunch
Curry leaves      1 stem
Ginger              1/2 inch
Oil to deep fry
Salt to taste

  Method:

     
  1. Soak all the pulses overnight and grind coarsely along with greechillies, ginger and salt.
  2. Add finely chopped corriander, onion, pudina and curry leaves to the above mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Make small flat rolls of the mixture and deep fry.
  5. Hot masala vada can be served with tamarind chutney.
