This recipe comes from Shilpa Gopinath, Michigan, US. I am fond of cooking and love to visit Bawarchi. I would like to share the recipe of my family's favourite Chinese veggie noodles. Enjoy this easy to make, mouth watering snack. .

Chinese Veggie Noodles

Ingredients:

Noodles :400gms/4packs (without the tastemaker)
Soya sauce:2 tblsp
Tomato ketchup:1 tblsp
Chilli garlic sauce: 1 tblsp
1 cup of finely chopped carrots, spring onions & french beans
Oil: 3 tbslp
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil 6 cups of water in a vessel and add noodles.
  2. Cook for 3 minutes, strain the noodles and keep it aside to cool.
  3. Heat Oil in a thick bottomed pan. When oil starts to fume, add cut carrots and french beans, sprinkle a pinch of salt and stir fry at high heat for about 4 mins.
  4. Now add spring onions, soya sauce, chilli garlic sauce & tomato ketchup, stir for couple of minutes and add cooked noodles.
  5. Taste for salt.
  6. Stir fry for 2-3 mins and serve hot.

*Note: Prepare the noodles at high heat for best results. If you are living in the US, you can use the inexpensive Maruchan brand noodles(discard the taste maker) to prepare this dish. Soya sauce contains lot of sodium, check for salt before you add any. You may have a variation of this recipe by adding cooked and shredded chicken.
