Hi, I am  Varsha, a regular reader of bawarchi.com and have tried many recipes from here. Most of them are easy and worth trying. Here is my contribution of a low calorie, high nutrition snack. I am sure you will like it.

Low-cal palak Snack

Ingredients

1 pound frozen spinach ( could take fresh also)
1 cup besan ( gram flour)
1 pinch asafoetida
2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 tsp red chilli
1/2 teaspoon ajwain
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon amchur powder
2 tsp oil

Method:

  1. Microwave spinach for 5 minutes (or defrost it).
  2. Mix besan, asafoetida, coriander powder, red chilli and salt to taste.
  3. Make small balls (about 12 of them) and put in a wide dish and microwave spinach balls for  5 minutes.
  4. Cool them for  about 2-3 minutes and gather them in a plate.
  5. Take oil in a pan and put ajwain, coriander powder, red chilli and allow them to sputter.
  6. Put the spinach balls in the pan and cook for about 2 minutes (without lid).
  7. Put amchur powder after taking pan from the fire.
  8. Serve hot with mint chutney.
