Egg Snack

Ingredients

Idli Batter 1 cup
Eggs 2
Onion 1
Green Chillies 3
Milk 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
White Split Urad Dal 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves & Curry Leaves
Oil
Salt

Method

  1. Add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder to the eggs and whisk well.
  2. Finely chop the onions, chillies, coriander, curry leaves and add them to the idly batter.
  3. Temper the mustard seeds and urad dal in a tsp of oil and add it to the batter.
  4. Finally add the egg mixture to the batter, required salt and mix well.
  5. Heat Oil in a paniyara chatti(A frying pan resembling an idly plate), pour the batter and fry till it turns light brown.

If you don't have a paniyara chatti, heat oil in a kadai, and pour spoonfuls of the batter, like frying the vada.

Tomato/Coconut chutney is a good accompaniment for this.
