Dates & Walnut Cake

Serves/Makes: 30-35 pieces
Ingredients
200 gms - Dates (seedless)
80 gms - Walnuts
1 1/2 cup - Flour (Maida)
1 tsp - Soda Bi-carb
1/2 tsp - Baking soda
1 cup - Hot Boiling Water
3 - Eggs
1 cup - Sugar Powder
100 gms - Salted Butter
1 tsp - Vanilla Essence
Method
- Sieve the Flour,baking soda,soda bi-carb 3-4 times and keep it aside.
- Chop the dates and walnuts finely.
- Beat the egg and keep it aside.
- Put the chopped dates, salted butte r,sugar powder and hot boiling water in a mixing bowl and Mix thoroughly but not too much.
- Add the beaten eggs alternatively with the flour in the mixing bowl till both are used.
- Keep mixing the mixture.
- Lastly add the chopped walnuts and the essence.
- Bake th e cake in a oven at 150 degrees for 45 mts.

The method can be used to bake a Mix Fruit Cake by replacing the dates and walnuts.
