Spicy Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

Brussel Sprouts - 1 pound (450gm)
Potato - 1 large
Onion -   1 medium sized
Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
Sour curd  -   2 tbsp
Green chillies    - 5-6 nos
Turmeric powder  - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Whole red chillies - 1 no
Oil
Salt to taste

Method

  1. Half the brussel sprouts and cut the  potato into small pieces.
  2. Heat water in a pan and par boil the brussel sprouts and the potatoes.
  3. Drain and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera and  the red chilli.
  5. Add the ginger paste and the onion paste and cook till it turns light brown.
  6. In the meantime beat up the curd with some water  and  the turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
  7. When the onion is cooked add this mixture to it and cook adding the whole green chillies.
  8. Pour  water as required .
  9. Now add the par boiled brussel sprouts and potatoes and cook till done(till oil separates).
  10. Sprinkle the garam masala and remove from fire.
  11. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
