Mutton Biryani

Ingredients

Onion 1/4 kg
chillies 15
Tomatoes 1/2 kg
Ginger garlic paste 5 tsp
Coriander and mint leaves 2 bunches
oil or ghee 2 cups
clove 10, cinnamon 4 cardamon 4
Lime 1
curd 1 cup
Mutton 1 kg
Basmati rice 1 kg

Method:

  1. Wash meat and soak in curd.
  2. Cut onions fry it in the oil.
  3. Then add chillies and garam masala.
  4. After 5 minutes add ginger garlic paste.
  5. Then add cut tomatoes.
  6. Fry some time.
  7. Add the mutton, coriander and mint leaves.
  8. Add salt and cook for 10 minutes in the cooker or any vessel untill the mutton is cooked.
  9. Take a big vessel and add 1 cup ghee or oil and add rice and fry in ghee.
  10. After 2 minutes pour 3 cups of water and the cooked meat masala into it.
  11. Add little salt and lime juice.
  12. Cook for 10 - 15 min in low fire.

Serve hot with raitha or kurma.
