Moong Dal
Ingredients
1.1/2 cup Whole Moong Dal
2. Ginger
3. 2 to 3 Green chillies
4. 1 large Onions
5. 1 to 2 teaspoon Curry Powder
6. Mustard Seeds
7. Turmeric Powder
8. 2 tomatoes
Method :
- Boil Moong Dal with some turmeric powder in a Pressure Cooker and keep aside.
- Take two to three teaspoons oil in a frying pan and add mustard seeds.
- When the seeds splutter add ginger, green chillies and Onions and fry until onions turn golden brown.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoon of curry powder and fry for a minute or two.
- Now add the cooked Moong dal, water, salt and one tomato and let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes.
- When the tomatoes are cooked turn of the heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
This dal tastes delicious with hot chappattis or rice.
