This is novel way of preparing shakes or smoothies, as a change to the traditional ones. These are quick, require very few ingredients, and are very tasty. Kids will not complain about milk in this form at all.Though I am using icecream in some of the smoothies, you could omit the icecream, substitute it with the local versions, or just use skimmed milk instead, to greatly reduce the calories.
But if you are making it for the kids, then just go ahead and be liberal, they burn out all those calories in a wink; with all the running around.
- Always chill the glasses before hand, to make the shake really cold.
- You may dip the rim of the glass in coloured sugar crystals, or just powdered sugar, after rubbing a little honey over it. This will give the glass a very festive and decorative look.
