Summer Chillers
Banana crumble
Ingredients


4 bananas ripe
3 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. lime juice
4-5 pinches cinnamon powder
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup sugar powdered
3/4 cup butter, hard

Method:

  1. Quarter bananas lengthwise.
  2. Grease a rectangular shallow baking dish.
  3. Place bananas in dish.
  4. Pour honey, juice and sprinkle cinnamon over it.
  5. Coat banana lengths with juices till well coated.
  6. Spread bananas evenly in dish.
  7. Mix flour and sugar.
  8. Cut in butter. Mix with fingertips.
  9. Mixture should be the texture of bread crumbs.
  10. Spread all over bananas.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 200C for 20 minutes or till golden.
  12. Serve warm with dollops of vanilla icecream.
  13. Or with light cream sweetened as shown in introduction.

Makes: 6 servings
