Christmas Delights
Chocolate-Cheese Balls
Ingredients:
1 cup cream cheese (or soft fresh paneer)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. walnuts crushed coarsely
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp. vanilla essence
1/2 cup almond powder
green and red tuttifruiti or angelica leaves and pieces

Method:

  1. Beat well butter and cream cheese till fluffy and light.
  2. Mix in sugar and vanilla essence, beat again till light.
  3. Add chocolate chips, walnuts, mix well.
  4. Chill it for 3 hours in a clean polythene bag.
  5. Remove mixture from refrigerator
  6. Roll into balls, then roll in almond powder.
  7. Press in some green and red angelica bits to decorate.
  8. Refrigerate on a tray for at least 1 hour.
  9. Wrap In individual pieces of see-through plastic wrappers.
  10. Secure with a piece of string.
  11. Serve cold, and store in fridge.

Making time: 25 minutes
Makes: 20 balls (approx.)
Shelflife: 1 week or more, refrigerated

Christmas Tip: Secure wrapper for these cheesy Christmas balls, with decorative strings with stars etc. and pack into attractive gift boxes for friends, since they are so easy to make.
