Tips
Easter, one of the oldest Christian festival, commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and observed by the Western Churches on the 1st Sunday after the full moon falling on or next after 21st March (the verual equinox). The Easter Egg, as a symbol of new life is as old as time itself. The ancient Persisans and Egyptians handed this down to the Christian Church and people have exchanged painted eggs since ages by greeting each other saying "Christ is risen".

The Christians gather in large masses in churches and thank Jesus, the savior of the whole humanity on the occasion of Easter. Usually it is a midnight mass. On this day Christian who have kept fast for the Lent period break their fast. Before breaking the fast, Christians go to the church for the Holy Communion. After this, they greet each other, wishing each other 'Happy Easter'.
