Ganesh Festive Dishes
Kadboli
Ingredients

Salt as per taste
1 tbsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1/4 cup heated oil
Oil for deep frying

Roast each one separately: 1/2 cup bajra
1 cup rice
1 cup jowar
1/2 cup urad dal
2 tbsp coriander seed
2 tbsp cummin seeds

Method:

  1. Mix together all the roasted ingredients
  2. Grind into fine dry powder
  3. Add salt, chilli powder, sesame seeds and heated oil
  4. Knead into smooth dough by adding lukewarm water
  5. Cover with muslin cloth, and keep aside for an hour
  6. Make small balls
  7. Roll the balls into pencil-shape
  8. Fold the ends of each roll in the center
  9. Heat the oil for frying
  10. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown
  11. Drain and let it cool
  12. Store in air-tight container

Making Time: 2 hours
Makes: 25-30 Kadbolis
Shelflife: 2-3 weeks
