Icings and Toppings
American Butter Cream
(Fillings, coating)

Ingredients:
175 gms. white cooking fat
50 gms. butter
375 gms. icing sugar
50 gms. evaporated milk
2 pinches salt
3 drops vanilla essence

Method:

  1. Sift half the icing sugar and salt.
  2. Mix butter and fat, beat till smooth.
  3. Mix in sifted sugar, beat till smooth.
  4. Sift remaining sugar, mix with milk powder.
  5. Add to mixture, with essence.
  6. Mix again, but do not overbeat.
  7. To stiffen further mix in some cornflour.
  8. To make it softer, mix in a few drops of milk.
  9. Use as required.

Making time: 20 minutes
Shelflife: 2 days refrigerated, 2 weeks frozen.
