Mango Dishes
Dehydrated Mango Stone
Method:
  1. Rinse and wipe the plump stones of paayri or alphonso mangoes.
  2. Dry in strong sun for 5-6 hours.
  3. Gently tap stones on the seam side, with a hammer or pestle.
  4. Break open and remove the seed.
  5. Peel off the tough outer membrane of the seed, cut into tiny cubes, and wipe with a clean towel.
  6. Dry in hot sun for 8-10 hours, or till the pieces are dry and brittle.
  7. Bottle in clean sterile airtight bottles, at room temperature.
  8. These piece should not got bad for even over a year!
  9. When required, pressure cook till pieces are tender, drain and wash under running water.
  10. Can be used in making vegetable and other recipes.
