Ingredients:1 large raw tothapuri mango (or any variety which is sweet and sour)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red chilli powder
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oil
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
2-3 pinches asafoetidaMethod:
- Wash and chop mango into tiny pieces.
- Sprinkle salt and chilli powder.
- Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Add sugar.
- Heat oil in a small crucible.
- Add mustard seeds and asafoetida, allow to splutter.
- Add to mango. Mix well.
- Serve after 20-30 minutes when flavours have blended well.
Making time: 15 minutes
Makes: 3-4 servings
Shelflife: 1 day refrigerated
